Tsarskoe Selo offers guided tours of the Upper Garden Greenhouse Complex, a "secret garden in the heart of the Alexander Park".

The coming tours on 3, 4, 10, 17, 18, 24, 25 April start at 12 p.m. near the Large Chinese Bridge and last 1 hour 15 minutes. Tickets (in limited quantity, at Rub 500 per person) are available only on our official website.

The Greenhouses were founded under Empress Elizabeth Petrovna and became worldly renowned on a par with the Windsor Castle greenhouse by the late nineteenth century. The over 200-year history of the Imperial Greenhouses and their current work for the Museum is covered in the tours developed by Olga Filippova, Head Curator of Tsarskoe Selo Parks, and led by our guides who also cover the Museum's recent restoration achievements in the Alexander Park.

Rarely available for visiting, our Greenhouses used to offer tours only once or twice a year on the Apple Midday garden event or the Night of Museums. The end of Russian winter seems like a good time to walk through the warm houses, where orchids bloom, where our laurel trees spend wintertime and where flower seedlings grow for the Parks of Tsarskoe Selo.
