Tsarskoe Selo received twenty five pieces of art of the nineteenth–early twentieth century from St Petersburg art collectors.

Ms Svetlana Dotsenko and Mr Sergei Ryabinkin donated to the Museum porcelain and glass objects, such as cups and saucers, milk pots and carafes, as well as Art Nouveau picture frames. All the objects were made by some of the leading makers in Germany, England, France, Switzerland, Russia and Bohemia, including: KPM Royal Porcelain Berlin, Wedgwood, Matvey Kuznetsov Partnership and Johann Loetz Witwe.

According to the collectors, they based their choices on the personal preferences of Empress Alexandra Fyodorovna and picked the objects matching the interiors of the Alexander Palace which are soon to open after restoration.

As Director Olga Taratynova of Tsarskoe Selo emphasizes, this donation is especially welcome and valuable during the financially challenging time of the current pandemic. In 2020, all new acquisitions were possible only thanks to the Museum's partners and friends.
