Launched on 18 June, the WWI Stories On Film project with lectures and movies on the Great War, has attracted the highest number of visitors to the Martial Chamber of Tsarskoe Selo since the beginning of 2022.

For the past 2.5 months, over 2,000 visitors enjoyed 36 free international and Russian movie shows and 11 free lectures on cinema history and Q&A sessions with directors and historians, as well as 10 guided tours of the Martial Chamber.

The shows and lectures take place Fridays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. until 24 September. The lectures' video versions are later available on the Museum's YouTube channel.

Advance registration on TImepad is required, but also possible at the Martial Chamber prior to shows.

Special guided tours are offered Saturday at 12.30 p.m., with tickets available on the Museum's website.

  • 24 September, 2pm — Talk on WWI Scottish pipers + Traditional Bagpipe Tunes + Paths of Glory (1957) by Stanley Kubrick
