Tsarskoe Selo is one of Russia's most visited museums, according to Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova who announced the latest stats at her recent press conference.

Over 90,000 defied the freezing weather and visited Tsarskoe Selo during the holiday week in early January, while over 3.4 mln enjoyed the museum in 2023, which is 587,000 more than in 2022.

Like before, our main attractions are: the Catherine Palace and Park and the Alexander Palace. The Martial Chamber (WWI Museum) received over 45,000 visitors, three times more than the previous year.

Most visitors come from all over Russia. Foreign visitors are mainly individual tourists from Turkey, Vietnam, Iran, India and Europe. Groups and individuals from China resumed their tours in the summer.

During the high season, over forty percent of tickets to Tsarkose Selo were booked online.

Last year's major highlight was the twentieth anniversary of the Amber Room's reconstruction, which is currently covered by the Brighter than the Sun exhibition in the State Rooms of the Catherine Palace.
