The Upper Greenhouses in the Alexander Park of Tsarskoe Selo look gorgeous inside as it is the bloom time for the chrysanthemums presented to our museum by the Nikita Botanical Garden in August 2023.

Eleven of the twenty-one presented varieties are blossoming in all their majestic beauty, including White Seagull, Red Banner, Vasily Lanovoy and Five Stars.

The other varieties will join the bloom fest in January. The new chrysanthemums already grace the rooms of our palaces.

Sixteen varieties of those garden chrysanthemums are of domestic selection. Some of them, such as Runner on the Waves, White Seagull, Egyptian, Petal Rain, Fairytale Elf and Miss Universe are the winners of the traditional 'Chrysanthemum Ball' floral shows held at the Nikita Botanical Garden since 1953.

Our cooperation with the Nikita Botanical Garden is possible thanks to the National Association for the Revival of Historic Gardens and Parks, which was established by Tsarskoe Selo several years ago and now unites fourteen museum institutions from all over Russia.
