As the holiday season in Russia is approaching, we are pleased to let you know that Tsarskoe Selo is going to be:

  • Closed 31 December 2021 and 1 January 2022, and
  • Open without days off during the New Year's Holidays of 2-9 January 2022

The three parks, two palaces and many exhibits of Tsarskoe Selo will be welcoming you 2-9 January 2022.

Catherine Palace

Currently with one combined palace route including all the State Halls of the Golden Enfilade, such as the Great Hall and the Amber Room, as well as Alexander I's Memorial Rooms and the Romanovs at Tsarskoe Selo exhibition.

10 am to 6 pm (last admission 4.45 pm). E-tickets (available 7 days in advance)

Alexander Palace

Recently opened after restoration, the Private Rooms of Nicholas II and Alexandra Fyodorovna offer the exquisite Art Nouveau interiors of the early 20th century, which were the home to Russia's last imperial family.

Arsenal

The Alexander Park's pavilion hosts over 400 artefacts of arms and armour, as well as firearms from the 18th and 19th centuries and the imperial collection of Asian arms from our Museum's reserves. The Hall of Knights is the Arsenal's special treat you won't forget.

Exhibition of Court Carriages

In the historic building of the Duty Stable, Russian and Western European 18th-19th century carriages used at the Russian imperial court, including sleighs and carriages of the emperors and some other artefacts used on journeys.

Eternal Return, immersive audio promenade show

An interesting collaboration between Tsarskoe Selo and St Petersburg's Pop-up Theatre, available only in Russian in the Catherine Park at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm.  E-tickets (available 7 days in advance)

Sleigh Rides in the Alexander Park

Riding through the snow in an open sleigh driven by Orlov trotters along the most gorgeous landscapes of Tsarskoe Selo is available daily 12 am to 4 pm, advance booking is required. More info

Ice Rink on the Triangle Square

What joy it is to ice skate right by the Catherine Palace in the middle of Tsarskoe Selo. Open daily 12 pm to 9 pm. More info

Catherine and Alexander Parks – free admission, open 7 am to 9 pm.

Babolovo Park – free admission.
